Love all these points, Brad! Thanks for sharing. My favourites are: set big goals, but remember to take small steps and keep at it for decades. We don't do things alone – surround yourself with your people who stick with you through the highs and lows.

Great choices. Putting those two things together gets you most of the way there on so much of life!

Love all of this. Seeing Alysia Liu just skate with such joy was something for the ages.

To your point: I just published a piece today on the essence of joy which was inspired by Liu's skating. It reminded me of two seminal NFL moments, The Drive and that time that Joe Montana spotted John Candy in the stadium. The use of humor is a powerful antidote to tension. The way I saw Liu was through the eyes of an aging adventure athlete, free of societal expectations for women, and what happens when we stop striving for the medal (in this case, the ring, the marriage, etc) and just live out loud. When we fire the expectations and return to play, it's stunning what we're able to do. Thanks again.

I was totally amazed by the entire Olympics, but how about Jessie Diggins winning that Bronze with bruised ribs, just gave me chills to see her at the finish. It was incredible, and she was completely about her team, coaches, and all the people who supported her.
