It’s funny how book agents and gatekeepers always want authors to focus on a specific or niche audience, yet the books that sell are often those with broad appeal.

The 84-year-old nana example is exactly why “excellence” should not be reduced to elite performance. There is a deeper version of excellence that looks like staying engaged with life, continuing to practice, and refusing to let age become a story of disappearance. That kind of consistency is its own rebellion.

I’m definitely inspired by Nana, still reading, still learning, still reflecting. Way to go. The Way of Excellence is next on my list as soon as I’m done with my current read :)
