Adaptability is a skill worth training when you don’t feel like training.

Great stuff

I'm not a consistently great runner. I turn 64 this month and have slowed down a lot lately, not that I was ever super fast! But I'm great at being consistent, averaging 4 miles per day including long runs like yesterday's 13 and rest days.

I like your message. A recent message gaining more prominence is, listen to your body. Any suggestions on when you know it’s a day to reduce your training load or … god forbid, take a recovery day? Often my body lies to me. One of my training sessions this time of year is climbing a local mountain, 3200’ elevation gain over 3.5 miles. I did it today despite feeling like lead. Of course it was my best time this year. WTH?!
