The line that hits hardest: confidence comes from evidence. Not vibes, not affirmations, not waiting until you magically feel ready — evidence. You build it by showing up, taking the reps, falling off, getting back on, and proving to yourself that you’re not as fragile as your fear says you are.
100% agree that the best way to get confidence is from evidence. I also think it can come even before that, by simply consistently doing the work, especially early in a pursuit. For example, I think someone would notice a confidence boost in the first few weeks of going to the gym before they notice any changes in their body.
Beautiful! Great to know that some people still care about their core humanity! I am going to share this with my daughter - I hope we will have a chance to discuss as many items you have listed as possible. Thank you very much!
Rules like this are useful when they become practices instead of slogans. The hard part is not agreeing with wisdom in the abstract; it is remembering it under stress, boredom, envy, fatigue, and pressure. A good rule earns its keep when life gets noisy.
Wonderful. Did you see my humble brag today?
So much good in this article.
A few of my favorites (in less words)
Act now, do it today, get results.
You can always start over again at any time. No need to dwell too much on the past. That’s how you get stuck…
If someone can't agree / relate to with at least one of the rules, they're not trying hard enough!
most people expect confidence before taking action. but confidence comes from evidence. not before it.

Thanks! These were great. I’m saving this for later. 😊
